The London Waste and Recycling Board (LWARB) is recruiting for two outstanding individuals to join a dynamic and passionate team. The candidates will need experience of the built environment sector and construction industry so that they can provide technical direction, management and co-ordination for this exciting project.
The project considers circular construction in regenerative cities and focuses on bridging the gap between theory and implementation. The four-year project will explore opportunities for circular construction demonstration projects and mapping of city-wide material flows. Copenhagen, Hamburg, Helsinki region (City of Vantaa) and Greater London have teamed up with partners from the entire built environment value chain to deliver this innovative project. Work streams consider buildings on a city-wide scale in the areas of demolition and reuse, refurbishment and transformation, and principles for designing new circular constructions and future developments. The project will explore other city-wide systems such as governance and planning, material flows and data, and training and knowledge sharing.
